About myself:

A Management student with exposure to Digital Marketing in Jewellery E-commerce Industry. I developed a passion for UX (User Experience) a couple of years back with an optimistic & problem-solving approach to any challenge which comes my way. 🚀 I turn e-commerce website into “EXPERIENCE” 🤩 with the help of Data, UI/UX and Ideas.

“I believe experience is omnipresent whatever we do, feel, act, react, decide is because of our experience.”

⭐Why did I choose UX?

Honestly, I did not choose UX as my profession, but UX chose me. Back in 2017 when started working in an e-commerce company, was very much interested in exploring/fixing how things look on the website and how the journey works. That’s when UI/UX as a term was introduced to me and once I started exploring, fell in love with it. 🤩

⭐How did I get to know about IxDF?

3 years ago (in early 2019) when I was introduced to the concept of User Experience wanted to gain a formal education so started researching about it online. Found a few names like Humans Factors Internation, Design Boat, UXmint & Springboard, but honestly did not opt-in for any. The most promising was HFI but it was completely offline and promised to teach everything in 7 days and was not comfortable about the same plus the fees was very expensive.

Randomly while exploring the UX course online I came across the IxDF website and I explored the website for the next 2 hours, read everything and viewed the introductory video. Every time I saw the video I felt more connected to IxDF. The purpose of IxDF, how it works & why IxDF was found. This (screenshot attached) introductory video of 3 Minutes 22 seconds made me feel that IxDF is the partner I was looking for all this while.

⭐My Top 3 Learnings at IxDF:

  1. The 3 levels of Experience by Don Norman.
  2. The 5 stages of Design Thinking by Hasso-Plattner Institute of Design at Stanford.
  3. Why design with Data? by Professor William Hudson.

⭐Why IxDF? Top 5 Reasons to Join IxDF for Designers.

  1. Look what the “Father of UX” and Fobes.com has to say about IxDF, couldn't agree more with both!

2. COURSE STRUCTURE: The courses at IxDF are designed for busy working people (just like me), and I love the idea of the self-paced learning programme instead of forcing long stretched hours of studying. Also, the course can be accessed from anywhere and anytime, no deadlines.

3. COST: There is no fixed cost for the course you take, you only need to pay membership fees and take as many courses as you want. (Best Part)

4. WIDE SPECTRUM OF SUBJECTS: Unlike any other website offering only beginner level or course which is specific to a topic, IxDF offers a wide range of courses. IxDF has more than 30 courses, which makes it more special.

So you will be not be restricted to learning only UX but other subjects like Information Visualisation, Emotional Design, HUman Psychology, Usability and many more.

5. COMMUNITY: Networking with like-minded UI/UX Enthusiasts is another added advantage that I have experienced with IxDF. Multiple Discussion and Local Groups will help you network and grow your knowledge in addition to the UX Courses.

PRO TIP: To keep yourself motivated/connected with the courses do not wait for weekends to start learning, try to learn/read the module thrice a week instead of burdening everything on the weekend. This worked for me, you shall definitely give it a try.
